The 15-Puzzle is the classic sliding-tile game. Tiles sit in a grid with one empty space — slide tiles into the gap until the numbers run in order.

How to play

Tap any tile in the same row or column as the gap to slide it across.
The puzzle is solved when tiles read 1 to 15 left-to-right, top-to-bottom.
Moves and time both count — plan ahead.

Strategy tips

Solve row by row from the top — never disturb a completed row.
Place the last two tiles of each row as a pair, then rotate them in together.
The final two rows resolve with the same trick applied column by column.

Is every shuffle solvable?

Mathematically only half of all arrangements are solvable — but the game only ever deals solvable ones.

What counts as solved?

Tiles in order 1–15 left-to-right, top-to-bottom, gap in the corner.

Do moves or time matter?

Both are tracked — fewest moves and fastest time are the flex.
